Banana Oatmeal Cookies using Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins

Indulge in these wholesome, naturally sweet cookies made with ripe bananas, rolled oats and Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins. Soft, chewy and filled with nutritious ingredients, these cookies are perfect for a healthy snack or breakfast treat.

 


 

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins, soaked and drained
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

 


 

Method:

1. Ingredients:

  • Soak Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins in warm water for about 10 minutes to plump them up.
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. Make the Batter:

  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
  • Add rolled oats, cinnamon powder, and a pinch of salt.
  • Mix well to combine.
  • Stir in the soaked raisins, honey, and vanilla essence. Ensure everything is evenly incorporated.

3. Shape the Cookies:

  • Scoop small portions of the batter (about a tablespoon each) and drop them onto the prepared baking tray.
  • Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon to form cookie shapes.

4. Bake:

  • Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cookies are golden and firm.

5. Cool and Enjoy:

  • Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.

Healthy Granola using Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins

Make your mornings delicious and nutritious with this easy granola recipe, packed with the goodness of Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins and Red Rice Poha. A crunchy, healthy snack that you can enjoy with milk, yoghurt or on its own!

 


 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup Aazol’s Red Rice Poha
  • 1/4 cup almonds, chopped
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower seeds
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins
  • 3 tablespoons honey

 


 

Method:

1. Roast the Ingredients:

  • In a dry pan over medium heat, roast rolled oats until they turn slightly golden and aromatic. Set aside.
  • Roast Aazol’s Red Rice Poha until crispy. Remove and keep aside with the oats.
  • In the same pan, roast almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds until lightly browned.

2. Combine the Mixture:

  • In a large bowl, mix the roasted oats, Red Rice Poha, nuts and seeds.
  • Add dried cranberries and Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins for a burst of natural sweetness.

3. Sweeten the Granola:

  • Warm honey slightly to make it easier to mix.
  • Drizzle honey over the granola mixture and stir well to ensure everything is evenly coated.

4. Store and Enjoy:

  • Transfer the granola to an airtight jar.
  • Enjoy it as a crunchy snack, or serve with milk, yoghurt or fresh fruit.

Tips:

  1. Customise Your Mix: Add or swap ingredients like chia seeds, flaxseeds, or desiccated coconut to suit your taste and nutritional needs.
  2. Adjust Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter granola, add a tablespoon of jaggery syrup or maple syrup along with honey.
  3. Make it Crunchier: Spread the mixture on a baking tray and bake at 150°C (300°F) for 10-12 minutes, stirring once halfway through.
