I am a big fan of Aazol and all their products. Maharashtrian cuisine is one of the most under-appreciated cuisines outside of the state. From the Thechas to the Masalas, from the Rice to the Papads, literally everything that I have bought from Aazol has been exceptional! Aazol is also not just about the taste but also about the stories and the initiatives that they take, all of which can be seen in the way they document their work. I am a fan for life and thanks to them, I have learnt so much about this wonderful land, people, and its food.
Loving the products from Aazol. Made by women in the villages of Maharashtra, these recipes are full of home-grown goodness. Thanks to the brilliant Apurva for coming up with such a wonderful brand.
I was very happy to come across such a concept when I first heard the idea of this venture. Aazol is a brand that brings together self-help groups from across Maharashtra to showcase the produce of the state and make it available to a wider audience. Their Varhadi Spicy Red Chilli Chutney caught my eye right away and this fiery thecha packs quite a punch!
A friend sent me some of Aazol's stuff, and it has been a sensational revelation. 16 women-led self-help groups from Maharashtra make these delicious food items you usually depended on getting home-made from a friend! The flavourful and very hot Red Thecha, I eat with almost every meal–and it’s also fabulous as a dip/spread when mixed with olive oil. The heat and bite of the Koli Masala and Kala Masala are thrilling–a tiny bit goes a long way in bringing curries alive. The Liquid Gur or molasses is nutty and not and I use it by itself or in nimbu pani and salad dressing.
Aazol has become my go-to place to buy gifts for friends and delights for myself.
I personally feel that Aazol exactly represents the kind of identity we want to create about BhaDiPa, as we too want people to fall in love with the Marathi language and not be forced to use it. That's exactly what products from Aazol will do, they will make people fall in love with Marathi food and change the image that Marathi food means only Vada Pav.
What a lovely brand with the most wonderful hampers. Those Chikkis rocked my world! Thanks to all the Aajis out there.
Aazol’s masalas are home-made by SHGs across Maharashtra. A lazy Sunday is done right when you make a prawn curry with their fiery Agri Seafood Masala!
