Soya Chaap Tikka
This Soya Chaap Tikka uses Aazol's Ghati Masala: Spicy All-purpose Masala in a thick curd marinade for a bold, spicy coating. The chaap is marinated, then grilled or roasted until lightly charred outside and tender inside.
Ingredients:
Instructions:
1.If using packaged soya chaap, rinse and pat it dry. Cut into even pieces and keep aside.
2.In a large bowl, whisk the curd with Aazol's Ghati Masala: Spicy All-purpose Masala, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, turmeric, roasted cumin powder, besan and oil.
3.Add the soya chaap, onion and capsicum. Mix until everything is evenly coated. Taste the marinade before adding any extra salt because the masala already contains salt.
4.Cover and marinate for 30 minutes.
5.Thread the chaap, onion and capsicum onto skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water first.
6.Cook on a hot grill pan over medium-high heat, turning every few minutes, until the chaap is heated through and lightly charred on all sides.
7.Alternatively, bake in a preheated oven at 220°C for 15-18 minutes, turning once, then grill for 2-3 minutes for extra colour.
8.Serve hot with onion rings, lemon wedges and a simple mint-curd dip.
