Banana Oatmeal Cookies
Indulge in these wholesome, naturally sweet cookies made with ripe bananas, rolled oats and Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins. Soft, chewy and filled with nutritious ingredients, these cookies are perfect for a healthy snack or breakfast treat.
Ingredients:
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins, soaked and drained
- 2 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method:
1. Ingredients:
Soak Aazol’s Jumbo Black Raisins in warm water for about 10 minutes to plump them up.
Drain and set aside.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Make the Batter:
In a large bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.
Add rolled oats, cinnamon powder, and a pinch of salt.
Mix well to combine.
Stir in the soaked raisins, honey, and vanilla essence. Ensure everything is evenly incorporated.
3. Shape the Cookies:
Scoop small portions of the batter (about a tablespoon each) and drop them onto the prepared baking tray.
Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon to form cookie shapes.
4. Bake:
Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cookies are golden and firm.
5. Cool and Enjoy:
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
